All I had to do...damn it.

G.I. Joe The Movie notes (the animated one) OR NEMESIS ENFORCER and friends

1. Best intro, ever.

2. Cobra Commander has an origin story? And it explains why he wears a mask? Groovy.

3. (paraphrasing here) "Destroy everything! Except the Broadcast Energy Transmitter! THIS I COMMAND!" and "Cobra lalalalalalala!"

Serpentor rules.

4. Destro, Zartan, Baroness, Xamot and Tomax and Dr. Mindbender would make a great Evil Illuminati.

5. Big Lob = Awesome. He's black AND he swims

6. Beach Head's kinda a douche. Relax dude. Take off the ski-mask of yours. Who wears a mask to the beach anyway?

7. Duke punking Serpentor proves Duke is the man. (I love Duke)

8. Flint is weird. First he says they need every Joe available but then volunteers to take a team and find Roadblock's squad? Huh? Though he did only take Lifeline and Iceberg so I guess he wasn't really depleting the talent pool there.

9. I wanna be named Nemesis Enforcer. That is the most bad ass name EVER.

10. Chris Latta (the voice behind Cobra Commander AND Starscream) is the man too.

11. Poor Gung Ho, Alpine and Bazooka. :(

12. Wild Bill is part of the tribunal? Really?

13. "An itty bitty ditty bag." HAHA.

14. Cobra-La is one frakked up place. Gives me the willies.

15. Have I already mentioned the awesomeness that is Roadblock? No? My bad. Consequently, a Cobra Commander and Roadblock buddy show would be the most hilarious thing ever.

16. SNAKE EYES!

17. Falcon suggesting that they take no weapons when infiltrating the Terrordrome? Idiotic. Slaughter agreeing? INSANE. Well they did steal some weapons rather easily...but still!

18. Wait I take it back. Serpentor is a pussy. Having the twins hold Falcon while he slaps him? "You cannot resist much longer." Oh yes he can you fruitloop. And stop calling out NEMESIS ENFORCER'S NAME! (All though it would be hard to not want to say such a bad ass name. Guess it just proves my point about Serpentor.)

19. Falcon is not worthy to be this movie's Hot Rod. Judd Nelson > Don Johnson. (You gotta love the 80's!)

20.
80's child: "Mommy, so if a snake suddenly stiffens and turns into a spear and I get it hit somewhere around here (points to the left side of his chest) where my heart is and blood comes out, I won't die?
Mother: "...Yes."

And who made Scarlett into a doctor? Ain't that Doc's job?

21. CREEPY ASS COBRA-LA...is no match for the SARGE!

22. Okay Jinx is cool.

23. Frank Welker is Wild Bill?? AWESOME!

24. AND PETER CULLEN IS NEMESIS ENFORCER?? I'm naming my kids after all of his characters now!

Late

Okay, I know I'm late but here are my Western Conference All-Stars:

F - Tim Duncan
F - Amar'e Stoudemire
C - Yao Ming
G - Kobe Bryant
G - Chris Paul

Fine with the leading vote getters so far. Let's move on to the reserves. (And when did we change the spelling of Amar'e's name? When did they add the apostrophe to it?)

C - Pau Gasol
F - Carmelo Anthony
F - Dirk Nowitzki
G - Chauncey Billups
G - Brandon Roy
G - Tracy McGrady
C - Paul Millsap/G - Deron Williams

By virtue of being the top team in the West, the Lakers get two guys in so Gasol's the plus 1. Melo and Dirk have been steady for their teams so they're in. Billups has been the game-changer for the Nugs this season. Brandon "52" Roy gets in because he's the leader of the young Blazers and because he dropped 52 in that game against the Suns. T-Mac's numbers are down from last year but that could be attributed to Ron getting in on more of the action. And he's turning over the ball less, fouling less and shooting better from 3 and the stripe. The Jazz right now are on the outside looking in. They want to get two guys in? Get back to being an elite team. Deron's still hurt but you know he's going to get his when his ankle heels and Millsap has been straight-up balling. If Carlos Loo...I mean Boozer wants out, let him go! Millsap is getting it done.

Just So You Know

Why does it all seem too familiar?

4A06 Christmas Reunion

To quote a friend of ours, "Ganda mo."

That is all. Haha.

Monday, December 22, 2008

Hey now, you're an all-star...

East All-Stars:

C - Dwight Howard
F - Kevin Garnett
F - LeBron James
G - Dwyane Wade
G - Allen Iverson

Those are the starters based on the early returns so far. That isn't going to change most likely and I'm actually fine with this 5 so I'm going to pick the seven reserves.

C - Chris Bosh
F - Danny Granger
F - Paul Pierce/G - Ray Allen
G - Devin Harris
G - Rajon Rondo
G - Joe Johnson
F - Vince Carter

If KG is Boston's leader on defense, Rondo guides the team on offense (and he isn't a slacking off on D either as he is second in the league in that category at 2.4 a game). His development is why people are starting to rethink their earlier decision to write off the C's bid for a repeat. Devin Harris (24.4 ppg, 6.7 apg, 47% from the field) has turned into the player everyone in Dallas thought he'd be much to their dismay. Danny's upped his scoring average by 5 points so he's definitely in and because I'm writing this. Joe Johnson has been stellar for the Hawks and has got them in contention in the East. Chris Bosh is in because the dude has been a beast despite the fact his team kinda sucks. Pierce and Allen are in at the same spot because you expect one of them to sit it out come February and because I cannot leave Vince Carter off. Praise Devin Harris all you want (and rightly so) but without VC, New Jersey would kinda suck. Vince is definitely an all-star this year (and admit it, y'all gonna miss him if he's not in it)

I'll have my picks for the West All-Stars tomorrow. Toodles.

Let's try this again...

It's amazing how things can change in a few hours. No, my horrible anti-epiphany has not been found to be untrue. It's still there. But watching videos involving Captain Bucky O'Hare, the Street Sharks, the Biker Mice From Mars, Duck Tales, Voltron, Robotech and the Power Rangers can really lift your spirits.

Also, to the person I was chatting with, who should be reading this post soon, thanks. Haha.

I've had another moment of clarity though. This time, it's something good. It's an epiphany I think. Maybe. Haha. Anyway, the point is, this horrible, ghastly, awful truth I've come to realize? I'm thinking about it like it's already happened. Like it's going to happen. Like it's sure to happen.

"If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do. Now."

I'm going to sleep now. Because I want to rest. And dream. And maybe in one of those dreams, I'll find something that'll give me hope again. Right now, that's all I need. Hope. And I'll find it.
I feel bad.

To put it simply, yeah, that's exactly how I feel.

On-the-verge-of-tears bad. It's this terrible feeling you get once you figure out something awful. Like the opposite of an epiphany. Or, rather, you know how an epiphany is like a sudden moment of clarity? Of realization? Right now, what I'm feeling, it's me realizing something horrible. And I'm telling you, it's not in anyway an overreaction. I am not being emo or whatever. That part of me is over. That part of life spent believing I was something I'm not, that part, I've gone passed that. Now it's something different. That was a lie. This is the truth.

Oh I feel so awful.

To Do

Oh yeah, it's finally Christmas Break! WON-DER-FUL!

What I need to do during the break:

1. Do my CS175 project. - I need to get started on my project soon. I feel like I'm going to fail this class. Oh well.

2. Play more basketball - I can't do this if I don't have a new ball. Thus, I have to get a new ball.

3. Download Friday Night Lights episodes

4. Decide

5. Lose weight (ha!)

6. Get a lot of sleep

I should probably be doing more. I'll figure that out soon. I'm off to Rockwell now. Toodles!

Everything's changed...

"What can I do, to make you mine? Falling so hard, so fast, this time. What did I say, what did you do? How did I fall in love with you?"
Backstreet Boys, How Did I Fall in Love with You

I really like this song. Haha. XD

This was never going to go my way. Did I really think otherwise?
Oh she fooled me. Don't they always?
Why would she be any different? They're all the same.

I never learn.

What the hell is wrong with me? I am so depressed it's not even funny. And it was going so great too! Damn it all to hell.

Let's just get this over with.

What to do?

I am thinking about what I want to do. What I want. What I think will make me happy. And as I think, I realize how many times I've been faced with similar dilemmas. Each time, I made my choice and each time, it led me down the same path. And every one of those choices, every single one of them...I believed in my decision then. I truly did. I did it, guns a'blazing, all systems go. And it never panned out.

And so now, I am faced with another similar dilemma. Crap.

All I Want For Christmas...

...Nah, I ain't going there. Too many people are wanting too many things, you feel me? There's too much 'I want' and 'I wish' going on.

The reason I love the Christmas season (okay, fine, besides the money and gifts and food) is the fact that sometimes, you get the feeling. That Christmas feeling is just, in a word, not awesome nor legend(-wait for it...)ary but...hope.

That's all Christmas should really be about. Hope. Hope for whatever it is you're hoping for. Extra cash. A new iPod. Salvation. Whatever. It's just hope, you know? That's all it is.

I like walking alone at night in school during this time. The weather's cool and put-your-hands-in-your-pocket-y. The little pinpricks of cold air help you realize that it's the best time of the year. And it seems as if the night's even brighter than the day thanks to all the gorgeous lights hanging around all over Ateneo. It's easy to get lost in sentimental musings and thoughts during this time of the year. You get caught up in all. And why not, right?

I'm not going to wish for anything this year. I'm going to try to not want anything. If I get something good, by all means, excelsior! But I ain't gonna gripe if I don't. The feeling will be enough. And I know hope is technically wanting something but I think it's just acknowledging that there's something missing in our lives and that it's not completely unreachable...just out of reach for the moment. Hope is not wanting but waiting. I'm gonna wait. I'm gonna hope. And smile as I take in the sights and the lights.

Quoting Optimus Prime

"All we need is a little of energon and a lot of luck..."

Truer words never spoken Optimus, indeed.

Now where can I get some energon?

Randomness

1. Okay, here we go again. Let's not make the same mistakes shall we?

2. 7-13 to start the year. Ooohh boy. What's encouraging is the fact that we can play with anybody. There isn't a team in the NBA Indiana can't hang with but the problem lies in the fact that the style of play that gives us a chance against good teams exposes us to the not-so-good teams too. Danny is being keyed in on more now. When Dun comes back, he should have an easier time scoring. We need Hibbert and Rush to contribute more too. Troy, Rasho and Marquis are playing well. There's still a lot of time for the Pacers to make the playoffs. We can do this.

3. Secret Invaion finally finished! Dark Reign here we come!

And that's it. Haha. Later sports fans...

What the?

Holy guacamole! That was a big goof in 24: Redemption!

There's a part in the movie when Jack and the rest are heading for the treeline as the bad guys are shooting at them from a chopper. When they get inside, they aren't alone as a CAMERA-FREAKIN'-MAN and some other dude are waiting for them.

WTF?! Haha.

I am not crazy

The Indiana Pacers will beat the Los Angeles Lakers tomorrow.

Let's get dangerous.

Like a broken record...

I think I've said enough about my favorite TV shows but dang it, each and every episode just gives me more reasons to talk about them.

Seriously, if you aren't watching Friday Night Lights, Supernatural or Entourage, I pity you.

Go Time

This is what I do.

This is what I want to do.

I used to do this all the time.

Caution, meet wind. Carpe diem motherfrakker.

I live for these moments. Swoop in, drop the bomb, 'til next time sports fans.

I want to do this. I dream of doing this.

So why am I scared?

And before I forget...(Entourage Spoilage)

Poor Vin :(

Poor Turtle too! He's a stand up guy that Sal. He is giving chubby folks like me a good name haha. The season finale is next week I hear so maybe they'll give me a good reason to like this show. (I love Entourage but this season has been a downer. I'm loving it because it's so good at pulling at the heart-strings.)

Secret Warriors and Dark Avengers are both $3.99

Well that kinda sucks. Almost all the new titles are $3.99. This is very bad.

My pull-list will have to be culled. I have already decided to drop Invincible Iron Man and Buffy Season 8. I do not know what to drop if something else catches my eye.

Sorry Matt Fraction, Salvador Larroca, Joss Whedon, Jo Chen, Georges Jeanty and all the other good people who work on those books. It's nothing personal. Until I can get an extra source of cash, I'm gonna have to keep expenses at a minimum. And you know this was hard for me to do since Tony was already interesting and Dark Reign seems to promise some new thrills for the character. And you know I love you Joss Whedon. Argh. I will come back if Buffy and Xander FINALLY get together though. Haha.

Hopefully these Bendis books are worth it. I am counting on you baldy!

Gotta Be Somebody

This time I wonder what it feels like
To find the one in this life
The one we all dream of
But dreams just aren't enough
So I´ll be waiting for the real thing.
I'll know it by the feeling.
The moment when we´re meeting
Will play out like a scene straight off the silver screen
So I`ll be holdin’ my breath
Right up to the end
Until that moment when
I find the one that I'll spend forever with

`Cause nobody wants to be the last one there.
'Cause everyone wants to feel like someone cares.
Someone to love with my life in their hands.
There`s gotta be somebody for me like that.

`Cause nobody wants to go it on their own
And everyone wants to know they´re not alone.
Somebody else that feels the same somewhere.
There`s gotta be somebody for me out there.

(Had to highlight that whole thing haha)

Tonight out on the street out in the moonlight
And damn it this feels too right
It´s just like Déjà Vu
Me standin’ here with you
So I´ll be holdin`my breath
Could this be the end?
Is it that moment when
I find the one that I spend forever with?

‘Cause nobody wants to be the last one there
'Cause everyone wants to feel like someone cares.
Someone to love with my life in their hands.
There´s gotta be somebody for me like that.

`Cause nobody wants to go it on their own
And everyone wants to know they´re not alone.
Somebody else that feels the same somewhere?
There`s gotta be somebody for me out there.

You can´t give up!
When you're Lookin´ for a diamond in the rough
Because you never know when it shows up
Make sure you´re holdin` on
‘Cause it could be the one, the one you´re waiting on

‘Cause nobody wants to be the last one there.
And everyone wants to feel like someone cares.
Someone to love with my life in their hands.
There's gotta be somebody for me
Ohhhhhh.

Nobody wants to go it on their own
And everyone wants to know they´re not alone.
Somebody else that feels the same somewhere?
There `s gotta be somebody for me out there.

Nobody wants to be the last one there
And everyone wants to feel like someone cares.
Somebody else that feels the same somewhere?
There's gotta be somebody for me out there.

Is Chad Kroeger suddenly psychic? Has he read my mind? Haha.

Questions I Came Up With To Pass The Time

1. Would I rather be a character on LOST or on BATTLESTAR GALACTICA?

Two of my favorite shows. Lost has the island which is like the 8 in a game of Crazy 8's. You never know what you're gonna get with that damn island. Random appearances by dead people and cloud monsters are what you don't want. Healing powers and time-traveling are pretty cool. The people on the island are another thing altogether. You got the crazies (The Others, Locke, Jacob) and the not-as-crazy (Kate, Jack, Sun). The guys are generally hotter than the girls though so that's a negative.

Battlestar Galactica on the other hand, you're in space. On a ship. Not very scenic once you've passed the same star cluster for like the 20th time. The Cylons aren't everyone's worst problem anymore since the planet they thought they'd be living on together is actually made of ruins and ash. You've got more hot girls on BSG though. Grace Park. Tricia Helfer. Since they're Cylons, you could have fun with like 50 of them. Each. So there's that. Game over.

Answer: Battlestar Galactica. (I love you Grace Park.)

2. Who would win in a fight, Cobra Commander w/Destro (cartoon G.I. Joe universe) or Doc Terror w/Hacker (cartoon Centurions universe)?

Cobra Commander is an idiot. Doc Terror is not.
Destro is bad ass. Hacker is not.

(Pretty even so far.)

Cobra Commander, after taking one look at his opponents would scamper in the other direction all the while shouting "I will have my reeeeveeeenge! Cooo-Braaaaa!!!!!" Destro would then shake his metallic head and reveal that he had the Baroness and a whole army of B.A.T.'s waiting for that very moment so they could charge in. Doc Terror though is a frickin' cyborg so he could probably take over te B.A.T.'s and capture the two villainous lovers. Of course, while captured (and not executed because this is a cartoon mind you) Baroness would her feminine charms to hoodwink Hacker into setting them free.

Winner: Draw. Because both sides would proclaim that they had won.

3. Would you rather be one of the Uruk-Hai invading Helm's Deep (LOTR: TT movie) or one of the Persians storming the Hot Gates (300 movie)?

This question can be rephrased into: "Would you rather be killed by scantily clad men or men with long, shiny hair?" There is no right answer to this. You're emasculated either way. But the Spartans were more barbaric with the Persians. There was more chop-chopping and hack-hacking over there in 300. The Elves (who weren't supposed to be there BTW) and the Rohirrim used mostly arrows and horses to do their killing while their swords and knives were strictly stab-once-move-on-to-the-next instruments.

Answer: I'd rather be an Uruk-Hai. Yes, both of them were the favorites to win their respective battles and both of them ultimately lost. But I'd rather Aragorn killed me then Leonidas just because I like my kings dressed for action and not dressed-for-less.

4. The love of your life walks up to you and she can tell you two things: A) She wants to break up with you and get with your best friend or B) She used to be a man.

Tough one here. We're talking about serious love-of-your-life, been with her for 2 years type of thing and not just some chick you met last week. Would you rather that she crush your heart and leave you for your best friend or would you rather find out that she used to have an effin' penis? Both are terrible experiences sure but A) crushes your heart and B) crushes your manhood (and sexual orientation). Think about it like this, what would you rather hear?

"Hey honey...I want to break up. I'm in love with your best friend. I've been seeing him on the side everytime we aren't together. Remember when you brought me home that night I was wasted? I wasn't wasted. I was just pretending so you could bring me home because your best friend was waiting for me in my room."

Or

"Hey honey...remember your best friend? I'm him!"

Answer: A. No way am I sleeping with a she-dude. Try and imagine it for a sec. You slept with a dude.

Prologue

“Run!” Quinn yelled. “Move!” Too late.

Four of the things had burst through the unlocked door. Left open by one, simple mistake he’d like to think. Yet who could forget to lock the door at a time like this? Jennifer and Michelle ran back up the stairs, skipping every other step with two of the attackers chasing after them. Nancy, Tim and the man they had just rescued, John were trying to keep the kitchen door closed and prevent anything else from coming in. Quinn was being stalked by the other two. Salivating and rabid, they slowly made their way closer to him. Fear kept him from running, courage kept him from calling out to his friends. Surely they would try to rescue him but they would also surely die if they did. He thought about it; if he kept these two distracted then the others could take them out easy.

They’d be easier to kill if they were too busy eating, he thought.

He knew what he had to do. He stepped back ever so slightly, not wanting to trip and give them an easy meal. From outside he could hear the howls. More of the things were gathering. They had sensed that there was food inside one of the houses. His three companions fought them off, attacking the flailing arms and savage teeth trying to get through. His thoughts then drifted upwards, to the action upstairs. He couldn’t hear much; his heartbeat seemed so loud at that moment. He thought of Jennifer. Was she okay?

Please God let her be --- One of things lunged at him!

He dodged with a quick side-step to the left and the thing hit the wall. It did not get back up. He had evaded the first one, a lucky break, but the momentary distraction of having realized he did allowed the second one to tackle him.

The mouth! The mouth,he thought. Can’t let him bite me!

He struggled with the full-grown adult, trying to overpower him to no avail. His attacker had gotten the upper hand. Slowly, it brought its head down. Blood or saliva, Quinn couldn’t tell, trickled down onto his neck. Any moment now... and as his putrid, revolting breath filled his nostrils, he remembered the screams. The screams that he wished he had never heard. The screams that chased him as he ran, ran for dear life. He also remembers from whom the screams originated from. He remembers them pleading. He remembers them begging and sobbing. He remembers them crying. What he most remembers though, is when they stopped.

Ye Olde Soliloquy...for Crush Number 2

Why would I even bother with such a cause? 'Tis madness. 'Tis folly. 'Tis...hopeless. Before me stands reasons so compelling that my mind has stopped dreaming. Shackle my hands for I shan't be able to prevent them from relieving me of this mortal coil if I cannot be appeased. Treacherous emotion, have I not suffered enough for a thousand lifetimes?...And yet, my heart does not stop feeling. Forsake thy unquestionable logic! The truth does not set me free. For if all I do does not matter, then what does matter...is what I do...now. And with this, this new vigor and resolve, my heart beats madly and in tune with newly conjured thoughts of chivalry and romance and love once again. 'Tis not befitting of a man to give up, especially when it comes to matters of the heart. Thy sweet, alluring, dazzling, marvelous, radiant, Crush Number 2..I will not falter, I will not fail. Fair maiden, may my hands find the warmth of yours and let my heart's desires be obtained.

WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

OH MY LORD. JENSEN ACKLES IS THE MAN!!!

High School Musical 3: Senior Year Facts (There Will Be Spoilers)

1. Zac Efron is a hound dog/manly man/man-crushable/sexy beast/gay-maker. He is handsome noh? And I bet every girl in the cinema wanted him to turn around when he took off his shirt.

2. Every time he has a problem though, he looks like a pussy. Dear lord he sheds too many man-tears and makes too many damn faces. Grow some balls Troy Bolton!

3. His b-ball skills leave a lot to be desired though.

4. Corbin Bleu is a year younger than me??? His duet with Zac smelled vaguely homo-erotic. The boys are back indeed. (The tricks with the wheel were cool though.)

5. I wasn't feeling Rocketman or Tiara Gold. If they're the leads of HSM4: We're All In This Together Again, I'm not watching.

6. Why couldn't Zeke get more lines?!?!?!

7. Why couldn't Kelsi get MORE SCREEN TIME! FREE KELSI!!! She's the prettiest one there.

8. (In my best Simon Cowell voice): Why Ashley, you're a naughty little minx aren't you? (Take that whatever way you want.)

9. I half-expected Zac and Vanessa to get it on like two...wild...cats whenever they were alone. The tree house, the hammock, HER BEDROOM! Geez, Disney needs to release a PG-13 version...
...I am going to hell.

10. Kelsi > Taylor + Martha. HELL YES!

11. Ryan pulled those pink pants off like I pull off pink shirts. (Some of my classmates might get this reference.)

12. Favorite song from the movie: Now or Never

13. Least favorite song from the movie: Scream a.k.a. Bet On It Part II. God damn it.

14. Favorite scene(s) from the movie: How Zac asked Gabriella to prom and "My prom is wherever you are." I wish someone asked me to prom like that. (I am not gay.) There were about a two hundred people going "Aawww" during those scenes and one of them was me. (I could've said only one of them was a guy and I woulda still been right. I am not gay.) Be still my beating heart. (I am not gay.)

15. Least favorite scene(s) in the movie: Everytime Gabriella had a short dress or short shorts. I felt sorry for her. We could see her tush. And HOW COULD SHE BIKE???...Waittaminute, I'm a man! Bring on the short shorts!!!!

16. I wish they could've gotten in a character moment for Troy's mom besides "I'm so proud of you!" She never gets any screen time.

17. The basketball in the movie kinda sucked. (So did the half-time speech which was all of 1 minute. Geez.)

18. I LOVE YOU OLESYA RULIN (Kelsi)!!!!!

19. The last word on HSM3: KELSI!!!!!...Okay fine, the real last word(s): I can't wait for High School Musical 4: The College Life. The story: Everything is R-18 now. Muwahahahahahahahaha!

Power

It's been a month since it happened.

That horrible, terrible, unfathomable night when the truth just couldn't be the truth. It's a terrible thing when you can't comprehend something. I think that's why knowledge is power. Because once it sets in, once you learn and understand something, then you're back in control again. While you're confused and shocked and terrified though, it's the most horrible and disturbing thing in the world. But then I learned and understood. I accepted it. And then I felt the power. The power to laugh. The power to smile. The power to look past it, to stare at it and turn away. I realized that it was over. That I had to move on. Because it's what I should do to honor him.

I won't forget.

Estel.

Solo

Guess I won't be starring in any team or "and" books. Bummer.

Wow.

The seventh episode of Entourage. That ending. Wow. It just came together. The four previous seasons came together at that one silently spectacular moment. Vince and the girl he wanted. Ari and the job he wanted. Just as they're about to jet off for greener pastures, there it is.

I have to give praise to Jeremy Piven and Adrian Grenier because that last scene was one of the most amazing things I've ever scene on television. And I've scene plenty. Lost, Buffy, Angel, Battlestar Galactica, Friday Night Lights. This one's up there. It was just...perfect. The setting sun, orange and glowing in the background lighting their already triumphant and jubilant faces. The music, like a lullaby to their almost father and son like relationship. Ari telling Vince first. Ari NOT CUSSING. Vince shook up. It was a perfect scene by these two actors and the whole crew behind the show altogether. It was the moment which defined the show. This is a story about the unique relationship between an actor and his agent. Here they were stripped of all the glitz and glamour (and the cussing) of their Hollywood lives. It was...spine-chilling. The hairs on my back stood up...Wow.

I love Entourage.

"A happy ending...with a happy ending no less."

Bloody brilliant!

Jensen Ackles is the man! Dean Winchester might be the most bad ass mofo on TV these days.

Supernatural rules.

DERON WILLIAMS IS A PACER NOW!

Well, at least, thanks to this trade I made on ESPN's Trade Machine.

I now have a (fictional) first five of Troy Murphy, Jeff Foster, Danny Granger, Mike Dunleavy and DERON FRICKIN' WILLIAMS.

Damn it if only this trade went down in real life.

(If the link don't work, I get Deron, Korver, Ronnie Price, Kosta Koufos and Matt Harpring. The Jazz get Jamaal Tinsley, Rasho and Marquis. Suck on that.)

That Guy

I'm not that guy.

I'm not your guy.

The Christmas Song

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos

Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe
Help to make the season bright
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow
will find it hard to sleep tonight

They know that Santa's on his way
He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh
And every mother's child is going to be spy
To see reindeer really know how to fly

And so, I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it's been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you

(repeat)

I love this song. If there's one thing that can get me into the spirit of X-mas, it's this one song. :D

Hey Crush Number 2

I wish you would excite me. Thrill me, tantalize me, make me want you.
Look into my eyes, touch my arm or squeeze my cheeks.
Call out my name, tell me a joke, tease me for being vain or ask me to buy you a Coke.
Trick me, tease me, laugh at me, smile please just for me.
Tell me about your day, about how you made your way to class and forgot you didn't have a pen,
I'll tell you, you can borrow mine, keep it all day, all night, return it tomorrow or never, it doesn't matter when.
Ask me about the game, pretend you're interested in Ultimate Spider-Man.
I like your new dress, I like your hair, I think I may be your biggest fan.
Do anything please, anything at all.
Make me want you more, make me think about you every single night.
Just don't leave me. Please, don't forget me.
I like your voice, your eyes and your smile.
I like everything about you, don't you know?
When you're in the room, you're the only one I can see.
Maybe one day you can finally know how much you mean to me.

The Backstreet Boys...are evil!

What do you think the Backstreet Boys talk about when it's just them? I bet they talk about whether or not one of them could score a one night stand with Xtina. Or maybe, even better, they sit around and mockingly proclaim that they can beat up the Jonas Brothers. Hey! I think their conversation would go something like this:

Nick: Dude, the Jonas Brothers are like, us.
AJ: What makes you say that brother Nick?
Nick: Well, for one, they sing and stuff. Two...well, that's all I can think of right now. (takes a puff of weed)
AJ: (taking the doobie from Nick) Yeah homie, they're like, us, if we were younger and like, more talented.
Howie: Hey guys no one's more talented than us.
Brian: Shut up you, you've got less talent than that guy on *Nsync with the funny hair. You've got less talent than all of those 911 guys put together!
Nick: The guys on Reno 911 can sing?
AJ: Dude, Howie's got less talent than Ryan Seacrest!
Brian and Nick: Daaaaaaayyyymmmm!!!!
Howie: That's unfair, it's not my fault I can't sing and all I got is this really weird voice that sounds somewhat gay and a day-old beard.
Nick: Yeah, it's yo momma's fault! Whaddup Wilmer Valderbama! (raises hand hoping that someone high-fives him...no one does)
Brian: Everyone shut up, I think Nick has a point. The Jonas Brothers are definitely a threat to all that we've built over the past couple of decades.
Nick: Um, Bria--
Brian: WHAT DID I TELL YOU TO CALL ME?!
Nick: Chill, man! Fine, B-Rok, we've only been around for like 14 years.
AJ: That's a fortnight...in year form! (coughs)
Brian: Silence minions! These Jonas Brothers, they must be dealt with. They must not interfere with the Backstreet Boys plan to conquer the galaxy. Howie, contact Kevin, we need him for this.
Howie: Sure thing Bri--I mean B-Rok. I'll text him right now. He told me to text him if we needed anything. Something about him being available 24-7 because he doesn't have a job.
Brian: Excellent. (in Mr. Burns voice complete with finger action)
Nick: Oh are we gonna bust a cap in their asses, boss? I got dibs on the one that was in High School Musical!
AJ: Stay away from Zac Efron you! He's mine.
Nick: (backs away) Whatever you say AJ.
Brian: You idiots, Zac Efron isn't a Jonas Brother. But yes, he must be dealt with too...They all will. Corbin Bleu. Those damn twins from the hotel. All of them will suffer. Muwahahahaha! Muwahahahahahahahaha! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! (everyone laughs their evil laugh, except for...)
Howie: (to himself) Oh no, Brian's gone off his rocker. He's crazy! I musn't let them harm the Jonas Brothers. Those poor, sweet, handsome, perfectly-tanned with great hair and angelicly-voiced teenyboppers must be protected...but how?

What the hell is a Danity Kane?

Seriously, what the hell is that? Is that a dog? A new breed of poodle?

I mean, they might be great and all but really, a nomination for best pop video at the MTV VMA's? Yeah? That's all you got? Danity Kane? Sweet Christmas, that's how far they had to go? Yikes.

(After about 30 seconds-It only takes 30 seconds to do research these days, you gotta love the internet!)

Oh, so one of the "band" members' could draw anime and Danity Kane was one of her drawings. That solves that. Danity Kane! Anime Spawned Music!

Funny Moment This Afternoon:

At the shed, while waiting for Maia to pick us up, I was standing on the corner in the pouring rain...okay, not really pouring, just wanted to use that line. Anyway, I was there waiting for Nico to get there too. Martin, Luigi, Ally and Tasha were already there waiting as well. When Nico arrived, he came with Anton (Whaddup Jesus Christ) and his other friend (dunno who you are dude, but whaddup). We were talking for a minute when Martin heads on over to us with Luigi not far behind. So the scene was, everyone else in the shade and cover of the cathouse, me and 5 other dudes standing around looking like a bunch of grade-A fools. What did I do? I stealthly excused myself and went to talk to Tasha. Moral of the story here kids, it's never good to be in a group of dudes. In the rain. When there's shade and women close by. It looks wrong. Very wrong. Oy vey.

Crush Number 2 againagainagain

There is a girl. And I am infatuated. Hay.

"She rips me like no other..."

SPOILER ALERT!

Jack shot Curtis! What the hell?? And then he turns emo! And then shit really hits the fan when the terrorists detonate the nuke! Great googly moogly! I did not see that coming. I knew something bad was gonna happen but the nuke actually detonating? That was horrible! How very depressing and exciting.

For The Win

Racing down the court with Hans Thiele chasing after him, Eric Salamat couldn't help but showboat a little. In one fluid motion, he turned his head, stuck his tongue out at Thiele, whipped his head back forward and blew the lay-up.

And that's why Ateneo's winning this year's UAAP championship.

Call it bravado, call it supreme confidence, call it whatever you want, that's the reason why this team is going to duplicate what the 2002 team did and beat La Salle for the 'chip.

Did I mention they're sweeping it too?

This team has got it. "It" being the swagger, the the-trophy-already-has-our-name-on-it-you-have-to-take-it-from-us mentality. They know this is their championship to lose. They know it and they love it.

Why whouldn't they believe in themselves that much? The roster is top to bottom the best Ateneo has had since the aformentioned 2002 team with Rico Villanueva, Rich Alvarez, Larry Fonacier and the rest. Rabbah Al-Hussaini has transformed himself into the best center not-yet-in-the-PBA today. And with a floor game that combines solid post moves (turnaround jumphooks, up and unders, a solid mid-range jumper) and a commitment to running the floor everytime down, Ateneo's biggest Eagle leads the team in scoring and rebounding at 17.5 ppg and 9.5 rpg. Defensively, he isn't as big as Jervy Cruz but you can't bully him like before. On the other end of the spectrum, Chris Tiu is the steadiest guard in the UAAP (sorry JV Casio). You know about the scoring (13.6 ppg) but the rebounding (6 rpg) and the assists (3.6 apg) are solid as well. He does a good job staying out of foul trouble (1.5 fpg) and not turning the ball over (1.7) Point guard and center are the two most important positions in basketball and we have the two best at each position.

While Chris and Rabbah have locked up spots on the Mythical 5, Nonoy Baclao may end up being the real MVP. Nonoy brings to the table reliable rebounding and scoring, 7.7 and 7.3 respectively and superb shot-blocking at 2.5 swats per but it's the little things he does that translate to winning. Timely putbacks when the offense bogs down, the ability to set good screens and a defensive presence that has the other teams rethinking any open lane to the basket. Every coach's dream big and every opponents nightmare match-up. He's strong and lanky, swift and powerful, the perfect guy to grab that crucial board or make an emphatic stop.

The other players are no chickens either. Ryan Buenafe is not your average rookie. Eric Salamat is by far the most explosive player on the squad. Yuri Escueta, Mike Baldos and Jai Reyes bring veteran leadership and savvy to the team while everybody else makes steady contributions across the board. Again, pound-for-pound, no one's got more talent than Ateneo.

Thing is, talent is one thing, teamwork is another. Without teamwork, talent counts for nothing. The main reason why Ateneo is 14-1? They've combined into the most beautiful and destructive force in the UAAP. When everything's clicking, like when they went on that staggering 51-17 run against UE in the semis, they're unstoppable. They do everything a championship team is supposed to. Make the extra pass, rotate properly on defense, work together, make their free throws, box out, pat each other's back, scowl when necessary and smile for the cameras. This team is for real.

Of course, if La Salle forces the second stringers to commit turnovers, if they can get Nonoy and Rabbah into foul trouble, if they can hound Chris all night, if they can deny Eric and Ryan any lanes to the basket, if they can find the open man when Ateneo collapses on Casio, James Mangahas and Rico Maierhofer and if they can get out and run, La Salle will have the upper hand. That's a lot of 'if's' though. But the one thing these Eagles have that La Salle can't beat is the desire to win. This team wants it too bad to let it slip away. Chris wants it to leave on a high note. Rabbah wants it to cement his ascension to "the man" status. Yuri and Mike want to get one before they leave too. Eric wants one to silence all the haters who say he's too fancy and turnover prone. Ryan wants it to fulfill the expectations everyone put on him as the number 1 recruit in the country. Everyone on the team wants it so bad. Everyone not on the team wants it soooo bad. Students, alumni, teachers and staff, everyone wants this team to win. This is it. The best chance we have. 2008 is just like 2002; it's our time.

For Ateneo to win this thing, they're going to have to believe that they are the best team in the UAAP. They'll have to continue playing with the knowledge that what they do is what they're supposed to do to win the big one. Leave no room for fear and no room for doubt. Championship teams believe in themselves and Ateneo has definitely got the faith strong and alive. I'm doing my part. I believe. We got this on lock. I believe in the Ateneo Blue Eagles. This is our time.

2:45 A.M.

Yeah, 2:45 A.M. Damn it. It's Monday now. Early Monday. I should be asleep. But I was doing work. (And playing Mahjong Titans.)

Comics related thoughts:
-I really wanna find out what the hell 'Dark Reign' is about. I guess in November then.
-I like 'New Ways to Die.' Mainly because of the art. Jrjr is THE Spider-Man artist.
-The Nova and GotG tie-ins to Secret Invasion were underwhelming.
-Liked Green Lantern Corps, Secret Invasion, Invincible Iron Man and Secret Invasion: Runaways/Young Avengers
-Iron Man 2!!! Spider-Man 4 AND 5! Downey! Favreau! Raimi! Tobey!

Basketball thoughts:
-Ateneo OWNED UE. Wow. I think the best way to sum up the game is 51-17 run = 56-28 lead. WOW. Chris had 2 points. LANG. Again, WOW.
-I have to mention, Ryan Buenafe's block against La Salle last week, the one on Mangahas? MY GOODNESS. That was a block.
-So I played 2 intrams games last week and lost both. I should assert myself more. Take less threes and drive for some floaters and runners. And lose weight.
-Nonoy Baclao should be on the Mythical 5. If Rabbeh and Chris are shoo-ins, Nonoy should be too. Without him, we wouldn't be here. He's this year's Rich Alvarez. The last 2 members of my Mythical 5 are JV Casio (Duh.) and Marnel "Mac" Baracael. Dude got shot. GOT SHOT BY A GUN. And he recovered fast enough to play again and at a high level, mind you. That's mythic right there.
-Indiana Pacers = 2009 NBA Champs. Done deal. Beware the Danger Bros. (Danny and Dunleavy)

School thoughts:
-JEEP! UPUPUPUPUPUPUP!!! DITOPOANGSAKAYANNGUP!!!! UBEUBEUBE!!!
-Damn Marketing.
-I like Com and LS na lang.

Love thoughts:
-Shit. Yeah, shit. Gah.

Great Googly Moogly

And you just have to wonder, what the hell is wrong? What is the matter? Does it matter at all?

You go through the motions, the heartache and all that jazz and you end up with nothing. A big tub of nothing. It's nothing really. That's what you get when you let your heart win. That's what she said. Darl'n what the hell? Am I doing it wrong? Can you tell me how to do it right?

I am not amused. This, this is what, WHO, I want? And this is what I'm doing to get her? Crap.

Barnacles and bracelets, I am an idiot. Grade-A imbecile is what I am.

What to do now, that's the question. This song, this story, you've heard it time and time again. No happy endings here. No smiles and laughs. Just "move a long sir." Ain't it a bitch?

There aren't any cheeseburgers out there that can save me. No diets, no shoes, no teddy bears or lunch boxes. Winning this isn't part of the plan. Losing is all there is. All there is to you my boy.

The brave never taste of death but once well buddy lemme tell you, I've been brave. What does it get me but nothing of use? Chances. Challenges. Choices. Changes. Yeah, I still remember. God's favorite people, appropriately I said, the lonely. At the time, I had no idea that that would be telling.

Design me a nice jacket that I can wear it and let the wind lift me up. The telephone rings and the voice on the other end doesn't sound all that happy. What's new?

What's new but the new heartache?

There has to be something more right? There's got to be.

Very Excited

Brian Bendis you slay me. I am now very excited for Post-Secret Invasion Marvel. Secret Warriors was announced a while back and that already had me excited. But a new Avengers book? Dark Avengers? With Mike Deodato on art? I am there! A new writer on Mighty Avengers? Color me interested! And "Dark Reign?" Hell yeah! Plus Mark Millar returns to the Ultimate Universe with Ultime Avengers? Hay, I'll need to save up on cash. Looks like I need to adjust my pull-list soon.

Wasn't very productive studying-wise in the lib from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

Yay: 3 Nay: 2

The Yankees lost again (to the Jays) and their chances of reaching the postseason are getting smaller and smaller.

Yay: 3 Nay: 3

Great merienda with Nics (and Cam) in caf up. But my food was MAHAL.

Yay: 4 Nay: 4

Felt very maangas in the covered courts hahahahahahahahahaha

Yay: 5 Nay: 4

The Race

So we had the Nike+ race today. Here's what went down...

-Junsi and Yambi arrive; the erm, gentlemen that I exchanged low-fives with were my homies hahahahaha...(This is Saturday night.)
-Dinner was MASARAP: Baby potatoes, Tex-Mex salad, Tess' (our cook) WONDERFUL chicken barbecue and some really fluffy rice...YUM!
-Room 401 = new favorite TV show; Jared Padalecki looks better with some stubble on his chin
-Junsi had a power nap before we watched the movie on star (see next item)
-END OF DAYS! The Governator! "GET DOOOOWN!", some reflections about God and the devil, really strong old lady and great-at-the-time-but-poor-now special effects
-Halo 3 difficulties :(
-Aral (daw) + Ateneo replay
-kuwentuhan about stuff haha
-Nag-Sunday na, gising pa kami
-Yambi, bigay na bigay na tawa don sa experiment namin ni Agas sa mukha ko
-finally went to bed at around 1am (pero nagtetext pa yung dalawa)
-woke up like 2 hours later :(
-I took a bath and woke them up
-Early Halo 3 with Gregorian chant-like music = Yambi: "OH SHIT!" Hahahahahahahaha!
-Yambi tagal sa banyo...bakit kaya?
-Agas = hindi na ligo haha
-Looking for McKinley Hill was a bitch
-LATE KAMI
-At dahil late kami, last kami :(
-Yambi na pagod, hinintay ko, hindi hinintay ni Agas
-Me = Trying to make conversation, Yambi = TRYING TO BREATHE hahahaha!
-Runners passed us by. Haha.
-Lakatan boys!
-Finally caught up inside Heritage Park, saw KB, Rami, Martin and Pierre
-saw Cara and "Alan" in the distance
-"Alan" turned out to JUNSI Hahahahaha!
-instead of running we: had an IAC meeting, talked about basketball and walked...very slowly
-Cara = Blisters (ok lang yan Cara haha)
-The sun wasn't on our side on the way back (literally)
-FINISHED IN 2 HOURS!
-No one took our picture :(
-And my watch stopped :(
-MCDO LIBRE!
-Went to the Nike store on high street to get our finisher's bracelets
-THOSE BRACELETS ARE HARD TO WEAR
-I found my birthday and X-Mas gifts!

And that was that. The great race day of 2008 was highlighted by great food, PAIN AND TIREDNESS and bonding. I'd love to this again but maybe next year na lang haha!

Jack Bauer is Bad Ass.

Jack Bauer is a vampire. And if you're thinking, oh, they've finally jumped the shark with that, let me clarify. He isn't a real blood-sucking, Tom Cruise look alike vamp. No, they haven't gone all supernatural on the show. They just had him bite a guy's neck like...a vampire, to escape torture. Because, you know, his hands were tied.

See, if that was me, I would have already prayed to God to forgive me and peed my pants. Jack Bauer must have learned survival tactics from Dracula.

(And I realize that Day 6 has been over for a while now, but it just started on C/S and I really don't watch 24. But this has me intrigued.)

Looking ahead...

What would the USA men's team look like in 2010 for the World Championships? It's a safe bet that J-Kidd will be off the team by then. Michael Redd might opt to not play too. I think Melo stays, LeBron stays. Wade, Deron, CP3, CB4 and Dwight will still be around. Tay and Booz can be replaced. For the sake of argument, we'll leave Kobe off the team because of...something. Let's say his age. So there would be 7 holdovers. (And those 7 might be the top 7 players in the NBA by then too.) Who would get those last 5 spots?

Top 10 candidates:

1. Greg Oden - Barring anymore injuries, GO should be a lock for this squad. His ascension will be key for Team USA and the Blazers. He turns into the Shaq+Hakeem Super-Dream we all want him to be, no one will be able to stop Team USA.

(A Dwight and Oden frontcourt would be SICK.)

2. Al Jefferson - If he continues to improve, he could reunite with AAU teammate Dwight Howard and the aforementioned Oden to form the scariest big man rotation Team USA has ever seen. Add CB4 to the mix and no one will ever doubt the Americans' big men ever again.

3. Kevin Durant - Here's the thing. KD is already a good NBA player. Judging by the way guys like Bron and Melo have improved on their games since coming to the league is enough justification to believe that Durant will get better. And if he does get better....get the hell out of his way.

4. Caron Butler - I like Caron Butler for the team because he and Melo would be an awesome tag team. No one would dare try anything nasty against team USA.

5. Derrick Rose - When you already have Chris Paul and Deron Williams on the squad, you basically have the point guard spot on lock for the next decade. But seeing how those two play really well next to each other, a third point guard would be great. I nominate Derrick Rose. Why? Why not? Kid's a team player, quick and strong. He's perfect for the team.

6. Danny Granger - The 2009 NBA MVP. (Yeah, I can dream can't I?) Danny's gonna be a great player. You have been warned.

7. Monta Ellis - Because Monta is gonna own the Bay Area for the next couple of years. Says here he's gonna be really, really good.

8. Amare Stoudemire - Beastin'. Hopefully, he'd be confident enough to play again by 2010.

9. Brandon Roy - He was a stud last year. He'll be downright deadly in 2 years. He'd be perfect as Dwyane Wade's back-up.

10. David Lee - A character guy. The Christian Laettner of this team. He hustles harder though. And he's used to egos. Wouldn't mind being the human victory cigar.

Honorable Mentions: OJ Mayo, Mike Beasley, Devin Harris, Rudy Gay, Mike Conley, Jason Maxiell, Rodney Stuckey, Daniel Gibson.

So if I were to make my picks now, I'd add Caron Butler (experience and toughness), Monta Ellis (freak athlete at the 1), Greg Oden (Super-Dream!), Kevin Durant (unstoppable) and Al Jefferson (the next great PF). That would give me Jefferson, Oden, Bosh and Howard as my guys inside, Bron, Melo, Butler and Durant (How tall would that rotation be??) on the wings and a backcourt buffet of Ellis, Wade, Paul and Williams. Rose, Amare and Granger are my alternates.

Shooting? Check. Shot-blocking and rebounding? Check. Freak athletes? Check. Everything else? Check, check and check.

So when Team USA wins the gold at the World Championships and at the 2012 Olympics (where Rose, Stuckey, Mayo and Beasley may crack the line-up), I'll be sittin' pretty knowing I was right. And y'all know my predictions are certified gold.

Bummer

So I sprained my ankle. Again. Haha. Had to bust out the crutches. It's feeling better now, it's been 2 days since I initially sprained it.

So much for training.

Randomness

1.) Earlier today I told my dad that the US team would beat Australia by 30. Guess what the final score was? That's right, 116-85.

The first half, Australia hung around because they decided to poke the Americans in the eye.

So to start the second half, the Americans did the same thing. But with a much bigger finger.

There were hard fouls on Melo, Wade, Paul and the rest, Patrick Mills was impressive and the "boomers" were knocking down their outside shots. Despite that (and the Americans' horrible free throw shooting) the US was ahead by 12 at the end of the half thanks to some timely buckets and staunch interior D.

And then to start the second half, the US were like Optimus Prime against all them Decepticons when he finally showed up on Earth in the Transformers Animated movie.

(Yeah, I went there.)

Anyway, next up, either 'Gentina or Greece in the semis.

U-S-A!

2.) I got some runs in on the smv court today. Things I learned today about my game:
A) I suck at one-on-one.
B) My mid-range game has gone south. It isn't as consistent as before. This is depressing.
C) I think I can still play really good team defense. (Read: I couldn't guard an old man if he was playing with a cane.)
D) At the very least, my three-point shooting isn't as bad as I thought it was. I think.

3.) Classes were suspended today. I wish they'd suspend classes tomorrow too.

4.) I am broke. Also, my head hurts. I haven't done any homework yet.

5.) Patrick and Karlyle, great conversation kanina. Haha.

6.) What am I to do now? Crush Number 2, what do I do about you now?

Crush Number 2, we meet again

Crush Number 2, how do I get you to notice me? Haha. Oy vey.

There is an idea. It's in my head. I'll think about it, but I won't obsess. You know what they say about the best laid plans...

But it's a damn good plan you betcha.

Dog Soldiers

FINALLY SAW DOG SOLDIERS!

Definitely awesome.

Weekend Update with Jeri Favis

Friday:

Gotta say, cramming is not good FUN! That damn Marketing paper...
Bought my comics that day too. I got like 10 of them and that was great. Here's what I got:

Booster Gold # 1,000,000 - Not part of my list but I like Booster. He's doing his thing and no one knows how heroic and brave he's been. He nearly gave up in this issue but he didn't. That's a real hero. Picked this issue up because it was Geoff Johns' last issue or somethin' on the book and it had that Booster and Bats moment that was great.

Ultimate Spider-Man # 124 - "But if I had to guess I'd say it was 'Fett'" Haha. Great moment there.

Invincible Iron Man # 4 - Solid book. Might not drop it after the first arc.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (forgot the issue number) - Continued the Fray story. Color me interested. The last page reveal, that I did not see.

Secret Invasion: Runaways/Young Avengers # 2 - The series has been okay. I like the dynamics between the Runaways. I should really get the first hardcover.

Secret Invasion: Thor # 1 - Liked it. Beta Ray Bill!

Green Lantern Corps # 27 - Liked Luke Ross' art. Patrick Gleason's art isn't really my cup of tea. Can't wait for the next issue.

Captain Britain and MI: 13 # 4 - This series started with a bang and ended with John dying. I like the book, very fresh. "No more speeches," was a great moment.

King-Size Spider-Man Summer Special # 1 - Very long title, very good read. While I bought it because I heard Keith Giffen was contributing, I found his story to be the weakest mainly because it stuck out as the only "dark" story of the bunch. All of the light-hearted, colorful stories were great and just like everybody else, I loved the origin recap.

Secret Invasion # 5 - Bad ass moments from Reed, Agent Brand, Maria Hill, Hawkeye and Captain Marvel. I liked it. The art, I don't think Leinil Yu is suited for a comic with a lot of characters in it because his background drawings aren't all that nice to look at. Can't wait for the conclusion.

Saturday:

Felt the effects of cramming the Marketing paper during class yesterday morning. I couldn't stay awake. Spent some time with Mama and got a free cup of Starbucks to boot!
NU was such a tease racing to that big lead and fooling all of us watching. Damn Edwin Asoro.
Went to mass then went to Rockwell and watched Team USA kick the crap out of Spain. Some notes about the game:

-LeBron. James. Is. UNBELIEVABLE.
-So much for the Gasol brothers...
-Deron Williams and Chris Paul...whoo. I'd take Williams though. Just because I think he is a stone-cold killer. Paul is a superduper point guard too but I like Williams better.
-Tayshaun Prince = scoring option?
-Ricky Rubio! Didn't do much but he looked okay out there.
-Welcome back Dwyane Wade.
-Human Victory Cigar for the game: Michael Redd
-Those Olympic refs are almost as bad as the UAAP refs.
-Kobe when in doberman mode = awesome (defense)
-Kobe when in mamba mode = terrible (offense)
-I think LeBron James will have his best season yet this year. Right now, no one's as good as him (save maybe Wade) and now that he has Mo Williams, the Cavs might just make it back to the finals. I didn't like that they lost Joe Smith though. They need another veteran big and another wing player. Mo and Boobie are great but you can't put them in at the same time because that's a small backcourt.

Sunday:

Had a great lunch in Cafe Juanita. The food was excellent and the dessert was awesome.
The game was great too since we won and Tonino got to score. Makes me wonder talaga if I should've continued playing for Ateneo. Eric Salamat is a machine and Rabeh is playing really well. I don't think they're afraid of anyone at this point. Bring it on.

So that's been my weekend so far. No school tomorrow and Tuesday but I have that couples thing for Fr. Dacanay so that's a bummer. Oh well. Later.

Secret Heroes

What's the point of doing something if no one will know why?

Yeah, you can say God will know. You can say that you'll know. How does that help me?

I do it because of you. For you.

Why does it have to be a secret? Why can't I tell you?

Why can't you know?

Why do I have to wait until "It's about time," and "I know"?

There has to be a place in this world for courage. We can't all be secret heroes.

Writing on a lonely Monday night.

"Did you know that everything she ever does is for you?
So it goes, the story of a broken heart comes true,
It comes true." - Maroon 5, "Story"

Aaww...Haha.

So many moments, wasted.
So many memories, corrupted.
So many smiles have faded.
The power of love is defeated.

Desperate to say your name.
I send a message, it's pretty lame.
Indulge me please, play the game.
My heart is yours, yours to claim.

...and I can't think of anything else haha.

The Other Shoe

This week was alright. I'm now just waiting for the other shoe to drop. I can't have another good week can I?

This probably means something horrible is gonna happen this week.

(Something horrible has already happened though. R.I.P. Bernie Mac - You were great in all 3 Ocean's movies.)

In terms of my life, I'm probably gonna find out I failed one of the many tests I took this past week or Crush Number 2 is gonna break my heart. Argh.

The Awesomeness that is Battlestar Galactica

Battlestar Galactica is AWESOME.

You want proof?

President Roslin: "I love you."
Admiral Adama: "It's about time."

An Open Letter to Crush Number 2

Dear Crush Number 2,

...I got nothing.

"The perfect words never crossed my mind because there was nothing in there but you." Indeed.

Monday, August 4, 2008

Again about Crush Number 2

I can't seem to write about anything else besides Crush Number 2. Damn.

Crush Number 2 is a big deal. I really like her. I wish I could take things further but alas. And now I sound like a stalker. Haha. That kinda did sound stalker-ish naman talaga but I'm not stalking. I think. Haha. Basta, point is, I haven't actually had this strong a crush since...her. So this is important.

But the circumstances surrounding Crush Number 2 aren't helping. They aren't ideal nor are they very condusive to my happiness. So that kinda sucks.

I really don't know what to do.

Tinatamad ako magsulat.

-Ang hassle ng Halo 3 kapag linalaro mo siya on Legendary. The game's mighty difficult to finish on Heroic so you can just imagine what Legendary must be like. Let me help: I took half an hour just to destroy the damn weapons array at the end of The Storm level. Damn Brute with the Fuel Rod Gun. Argh.

-Friday was a good day. Very unexpected turn of events, but much appreciated.

Mystified

If you ever get to read this...I want you to know, that time of my life was happy. Thanks.

Stupid and Crazy

This has to be, undoubtedly, one of the stupidest things I've ever done.

Well, the list of the stupidest things I've ever done, that's kinda a long list. I've probably been a supreme jack ass more times than Chris Tiu gets cat-calls from the ladies. But this? I mean, how do you top this? How do you top something this insane and crazy?

(Actually, I think I've topped myself 10 times over so I must be even more stupid than I admit.)

History has taught us that stupid and crazy things get out stupid-ed and out crazy-ed almost every other day. First it's a man swimming in poop and then it's two men doing tandem ass kicks and then it's the Hawks losing a key player to Greece. I mean, as a race, we pretty much do stupid and crazy everyday.

So here I am, again, reveling in the craptastic mess I call a life. Here I am, on the verge of stupid and crazy endeavor number 453. To you, this might sound like I'm actually trying not to do it. In reality, this is just part of the madness.

Which makes me want to ask, can't we stop? Can't we stop it before the sh*t hits the fan? Isn't there a point, a moment...of clarity, of frakking realization, of insight? AREN'T WE SUPPOSED TO BE RATIONAL??

The madness if the method.

So yeah, this means I'm probably gonna still go through with stupid and crazy endeavor number 453.

And yes, this is about a girl. (Crush Number 2--I should probably think of a new nickname for her.)

And yes, this entry made absolutely no sense.

JERI FAVIS = SHOOTER

There was sweat in my eyes. My jersey was soaking wet. My arms were sore and aching. My legs were beginning to tighten.

And yet, I still nailed that last three-ball.

Yeah, I still got the funk.

Gone

Gone for good. That's what we are. All the smiles, all the laughs, all the things we thought made us happy. Gone. Gone. Not *NSYNC gone, gone-gone. Forever gone.

Angel said, "Not Fade Away," but that's what's happening.

It was just a phase. And now we're past it. What a waste.

Crush Number 2 (Again)

You're important. These feelings? They're important. I need to be sure. I want to be sure. I like you, definitely. I haven't had these feelings in a while. These are the real feelings. These are the ones you're supposed to make sure don't fade. Not fade away, that's the key. So it's time I learn to finally take it easy. I'll wait. I'll be sure. Then...we'll see.

Three-ler (It's a pun.)

"Who watches the Watchmen?"

Just saw the Watchmen trailer. I cannot wait!

Duh-duh-dan-dah-dant. Dud-duh-dan-dah-dany.

Just saw the Terminator: Salvation Trailer. Pretty bad ass.

Samuel Jackson with heavy make up, a kimono and a big ass sword.

Just saw the new The Spirit trailer. That was weird.

Also, there's that image you see above. To boldly go indeed.

Dr. Horrible Act 2

Dr. Horrible:

"Crazy random happenstance."

"Right, freeze ray!"

"I own a PhD in horribleness."

"Oh goodness look at my wrist I gotta go."

Captain Hammer:

"Apparently, the only signature they needed was my fist...but with a pen..."

One line that I can't post because I'm not sure if I can post it but it's the funniest line of act 2. WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Dr. Horrible rocks my socks!

Crush Number 2

I forgot to say something about Crush Number 2!

Today was a good day. Haha!

The Many

Many things happened today...a great many! Like very many. The many were diverse. Some were happy things. Some were interesting things. Some were annoying things. Some were thought-provoking things. Some were good things. So, without the approval of the midnight society...*silence*...*crickets chirping*...hmmm, hope my 2 readers get that. Anyway, here are...The Many:

A Realization...about Makati Carpool

This might apply only to members of the Makati Carpool, este, the Official Makati Carpool and more so to the people who have to wait for the rides to arrive. If, when you get to San Antonio and your ride isn't there yet and your car has to leave, you usually wait in the walkway, right? So anyway, I've been in the carpool for over 2 years now and I've always noticed that after the mass, when the church-goers are heading to their cars, they're always surprised to see me standing there, looking like a gigantic idiot talking to himself. Granted, they have just come out of the sacrament of the holy eucharist and are probably thinking about the day ahead and their wonderful start to it, when they see me and immediately think like Bart Simpson, "Who the hell are you man?" I know they've been startled and are thinking this because they give me the look. It's like they've chanced upon something icky. Haha. Anyway, that's the first of The Many.

(Sorry for wasting your time, but you're reading my blog already, that usually means that you care nothing about your time and are willing to spend it on the most idiotic thing out there. That's more my fault than yours. Trust me.)

Tami's Cookies

TAMI'S COOKIES ARE WONDERFUL! Hey, I just made Tami a brand name. Tami's. Tamis? Tami's. Haha. Tami, I better have a share of your profits haha.

(Also, if you ever make your own online mag, make me a contributor! Haha.)

Crush Number 1

No names for my crushes, just numbers. Numbers aren't ranked, they're just the number of the order they appear in the blog in. Anyway, Crush Number 1, I failed with this one today but there's always tomorrow! And that's all I'll say about CN1. Haha.

Patrick's Revelation

All I can say is, thanks. Patrick's Revelation gave me a little hope.

Patrick's Secret

I was only in the video for like 2 seconds! What's up with that??

The Sandwich

Two words: Chicken Caesar. I'm about to convert one more person (Karlyle) to add to the rest of my CCC, Chicken Caesar Cult. Hell yeah.

Nico's the "rest" of the cult. Hahahahahahahaha.

Philo Time

Crap-more crap-laughter-victory-even more crap-even more laughter-recitation points-annoyance-confusion-hope. That last word is what's important.

Mighty Avengers

Poor Elektra. And "The Truth About Hank Pym," that was last issue right?

Secret Invasion

You know, reading Secret Invasion #4 again, I liked it. I loved it. The feel of the book, it's like the heroes already lost and you really believe pseudo-Jessica's speech but that last page, "A trick or two up their sleeves," I'd say they're more than a trick. Get ready to Assemble...

JLU

I miss Justice League Unlimited. :( DCU Batman, Flash, J'onn, Green Arrow and Lex are the best.

So that's it for The Many. I like this idea. It's kinda like the Comic Reel over on CBR, but this is the Jeri Reel. I think I've found the funk. Haha. Toodles!
