Lost Season 6 Premiere "LA X"

Why couldn't they just show everything in one day?

Because I cannot get enough of Lost right now. THAT ladies and gentlemen was a fucking season premiere. I was thoroughly blown away by the episode.

The alternate earth Lost (or Ultimate Lost). Smokey/Fake Locke. SAYID. Hugo stepping up. Sawyer's vendetta. Matthew Fox kicking ass as two versions of Jack Shepherd. Charlie! Boone! Jacob! The Temple of Doom Others.

My god. I cannot wait for next week.

Yes, Again

Inspired by the awesomeness of my last post, I decided to look for my second favorite Lost moment next. (Desmond and Penny's phone conversation being the first.)

This is one of the first scenes of part 2 of the season 3 finale, Through The Looking Glass. Credit must go to YouTube user ExtraitsMania01 for taking down the lines in this, my favorite Jack and Kate scene:

Jack: You okay?
Kate: Yeah, I just got a rock in my shoe.
Jack: He didn't mean it, you know.
Kate: What?
Jack: Sawyer. When he said he didn't want you to go with him, he didn't mean it.
Kate: If he didn't mean it, why did he say it?
Jack: He was trying to protect you. That's why I asked you not to come back for me.
Kate: Hey. Why are you sticking up for Sawyer? He'd never do it for you.
Jack: Because I love you.

Just....awesome. :)

Random Things

1. The first official promo for Lost's final season is up. It's just there to tease so I don't think it's worth linking. But that's not to say, I'm not excited for season 6. I so am. It's going to be epic. Kinda like how the first hour of Battlestar Galactica's season finale was but for 17 hours. Trust me.

2. I'd marry Julia Roberts in a heartbeat. Like, I just love her.

3. Failing #2, I'd go for the Barefoot Contessa next. I will be a happy man for the rest of my life. Screw Rachel Ray and Giada Delouahrncajcmnahf. The Barefoot Contessa is where it's at.

4. Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan's new book The Strain? Awesome. The book terrifies me, in a good way. I can't sleep anymore with the lights out. Last night? I went to sleep this morning. I had to wait til it was 5am and the sky was just getting bluer. Hell yeah. The last time vampires really freaked me out was a few weeks after watching 30 Days of Night and I was sitting in front of the computer and the power went out. At like twelve midnight, the power went out and it was pitch black and I was the only one awake. If you read the comics and/or saw the movie, you'll know why I grabbed a flashlight, shut the door and just lay in bed with my ipod on full blast. Going back to the book, that's how I'm feeling now. And the vampires haven't even begun to takeover yet. *shudders*

5. Fanboys! It's a story about Star Wars geeks (and they do bash Star Trek in it, grr) but it still makes me feel proud to be a geek. There's just something awesome about us you know? The way we get really worked up and passionate about something we love, it's poetic on a certain level.

Right. That's for all random things. My next post? Going to be a little bit more specific. Be back in a bit.

LOST is REAL

What lies in the shadow of the statue??

JACOB DID IT!

Live together or die alone!

What's up freckles?

Dude.

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!

It's happening in the real world!

Air France Flight 447. Holy crap. LOST IS BASED ON REAL LIFE EVENTS!

(I sincerely hope that the people on board are all okay.)

(But if this is anyway like Lost, WOW. Haha.)

Lost - Follow The Leader

Wow. That was some episode. The last one before next week's 2-hour bonanza of a finale. If you want to read my thoughts while watching the episode, you can check out my Twitter.

Man that was a fantastic episode. All the characters got a chance to shine (save for Jin). Locke made me like him. Ben made me fear him. Kate made me put her on the same level as Lana, loved them at first, can't stand them now. And to keep with the Smallville theme, Juliet is Lost's Chloe. Didn't like them at first, LOVE them now. And ain't it a thing that both of them are rumored to bite it in their respective season finales? How 'bout that? And man, Jack has gone crazy! At least he's got Sayid on his side. And team Hurley, Jin and Miles? Awesome. (With an assist from Miles' daddy to boot!)

This was a great ep. Great characterization and they moved the plot at a frantic but controlled pace. Kudos to all the people behind this episode. I can't wait for next week's 2-hour finale. It's going to be off the hook. (We'll also find out what happened to Bernard, Rose and no-name survivors!)

LOST

"That's why it's called a leap of faith, Jack."

"Why hold on to something that makes you feel sad."

ARE YOU SERIOUS??

I FORGOT ABOUT POST NO. 200!!!!!

That kinda sucks.

Oh well, moving on.

Today was the day I did something that I will not speak of directly for fear of ridicule and on the off chance that the person whom I did said thing to reads this blog and discovers the behind-the-scenes of the thing I did. Also, I have terrible grammar apparently.

You know, I have to become a better person. In everything. I am failing at so many things. Literally and metaphorically. I am failing. I must not fail! I am not a failure. I am many things but not one of those things is a failure. I gotta step it up.

Danny Granger, my fourth favorite player ever (Ahead of him: Reggie Miller, LeBron James and Shane Battier. Behind him: (not in order) JJ Redick, Austin Croshere (the 2000 version), Rich Alvarez, LA Tenorio, Larry Fonacier, Deron Williams, Mark Jackson, Jalen Rose, Jermaine O'Neal (BEFORE he turned into the Drain)...wait, what was I gonna say about Danny again? Oh yeah. Danny's an all-star! He's a bonafide all-star this year and I hope this is the first of many all-star game selections to come. Congratulations Danny Granger!

Casey Carlson, I love you. I totally do. You are the prettiest AI contestant ever. I HOPE YOU WIN. PLEASE VISIT THE PHILIPPINES IF YOU DO AND LOOK FOR ME, YOUR NUMBER 1 FAN. I love you.

(Me = Not crazy, not a stalker, not terrible-looking. Give me a chance.)

Lost + Battlestar Galactica + Spectacular Spider-Man + Supernatural + The Office + Entourage + Friday Night Lights = One of the finest seasons of television ever.

The preview of Guardians of the Galaxy #10 is up on CBR. I am loving those first few panels.

Saw the second Transformers trailer. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE. Please please please please let it be the greatest thing ever. "Constructicons, merge for the kiiillll!"

Gab Doller, miss ka namin pare.

Toodles.

Questions I Came Up With To Pass The Time

1. Would I rather be a character on LOST or on BATTLESTAR GALACTICA?

Two of my favorite shows. Lost has the island which is like the 8 in a game of Crazy 8's. You never know what you're gonna get with that damn island. Random appearances by dead people and cloud monsters are what you don't want. Healing powers and time-traveling are pretty cool. The people on the island are another thing altogether. You got the crazies (The Others, Locke, Jacob) and the not-as-crazy (Kate, Jack, Sun). The guys are generally hotter than the girls though so that's a negative.

Battlestar Galactica on the other hand, you're in space. On a ship. Not very scenic once you've passed the same star cluster for like the 20th time. The Cylons aren't everyone's worst problem anymore since the planet they thought they'd be living on together is actually made of ruins and ash. You've got more hot girls on BSG though. Grace Park. Tricia Helfer. Since they're Cylons, you could have fun with like 50 of them. Each. So there's that. Game over.

Answer: Battlestar Galactica. (I love you Grace Park.)

2. Who would win in a fight, Cobra Commander w/Destro (cartoon G.I. Joe universe) or Doc Terror w/Hacker (cartoon Centurions universe)?

Cobra Commander is an idiot. Doc Terror is not.
Destro is bad ass. Hacker is not.

(Pretty even so far.)

Cobra Commander, after taking one look at his opponents would scamper in the other direction all the while shouting "I will have my reeeeveeeenge! Cooo-Braaaaa!!!!!" Destro would then shake his metallic head and reveal that he had the Baroness and a whole army of B.A.T.'s waiting for that very moment so they could charge in. Doc Terror though is a frickin' cyborg so he could probably take over te B.A.T.'s and capture the two villainous lovers. Of course, while captured (and not executed because this is a cartoon mind you) Baroness would her feminine charms to hoodwink Hacker into setting them free.

Winner: Draw. Because both sides would proclaim that they had won.

3. Would you rather be one of the Uruk-Hai invading Helm's Deep (LOTR: TT movie) or one of the Persians storming the Hot Gates (300 movie)?

This question can be rephrased into: "Would you rather be killed by scantily clad men or men with long, shiny hair?" There is no right answer to this. You're emasculated either way. But the Spartans were more barbaric with the Persians. There was more chop-chopping and hack-hacking over there in 300. The Elves (who weren't supposed to be there BTW) and the Rohirrim used mostly arrows and horses to do their killing while their swords and knives were strictly stab-once-move-on-to-the-next instruments.

Answer: I'd rather be an Uruk-Hai. Yes, both of them were the favorites to win their respective battles and both of them ultimately lost. But I'd rather Aragorn killed me then Leonidas just because I like my kings dressed for action and not dressed-for-less.

4. The love of your life walks up to you and she can tell you two things: A) She wants to break up with you and get with your best friend or B) She used to be a man.

Tough one here. We're talking about serious love-of-your-life, been with her for 2 years type of thing and not just some chick you met last week. Would you rather that she crush your heart and leave you for your best friend or would you rather find out that she used to have an effin' penis? Both are terrible experiences sure but A) crushes your heart and B) crushes your manhood (and sexual orientation). Think about it like this, what would you rather hear?

"Hey honey...I want to break up. I'm in love with your best friend. I've been seeing him on the side everytime we aren't together. Remember when you brought me home that night I was wasted? I wasn't wasted. I was just pretending so you could bring me home because your best friend was waiting for me in my room."

Or

"Hey honey...remember your best friend? I'm him!"

Answer: A. No way am I sleeping with a she-dude. Try and imagine it for a sec. You slept with a dude.

Lotsa Things

1.) I got KOD-ed this past week. That stands for Kiss of Death, and yeah, it was that bad. Oy vey.

2.) Playoff picks: West: Denver over L.A. (Hell yeah I'm picking A.I. over Kobe), S.A. over Phoenix (Tim Duncan = G.O.A.T.) , Houston over Utah (yeah right; sorry T-Mac :( ) and NOH over Dallas (in 7 games though because Dirk will kick ass). East: Detroit over Philly (the former is better than you think, the latter is worse than you think), Cleveland over Washington (Um, LeBron is gonna be guarded by DeShawn Stevenson, yeah, that'll work), Orlando over Toronto (though CB4 will own DH12 just because he's been doing it for a minute). And Atlanta will beat Boston. Okay, no they won't but just in case they do, I called it. East semis: Cavs over Celtics (sorry KG :( ), Pistons over Magic. West Semis: Don't care really. All I know is, It's still gonna be the Spurs. Finals: Rematch of last year's finals with a different outcome. Spurs in 7. Why do I think it's gonna be a rematch? Because after these playoffs, teams are gonna be going "Oh sh*t." when they play the Cavs. LeBron will dominate. Period. He's not winning league MVP but that'll just make him even angrier. Losing in the finals though means that next year, he's averaging 34, 11, 11, 2, 2.

3.) I have a very tough decision to make. It will have drastic and dramatic effects on my life. Let's hope that this time, I make the right decision.

4.) Between Battlestar Galactica and Lost, that's too much awesome I can handle.

5.) SECRET INVASION!

6.) Can't wait for The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man.

7.) I love my Nintendo 64. Goldeneye, Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. have aged wonderfully.

That's all for now, see ya round folks.
